Louise Browne is a textile designer who gained a Masters degree in Fashion and Embroidered Textiles from The Glasgow School of Art. She is currently in the process of setting up her own brand, QueenieBrowne. Her collection will consist of greeting cards, hand-painted brooches, prints and hand embroideries, and eventually branch into childrenswear and accessories. Louise has a strong interest in 1950s textile design, and  says her main influences come from illustrator Charley Harper, textile designer Lucienne Day, and her long-standing love of nature.

When launched QueenieBrowne will be sold through Etsy and Big Cartel, and Louise hopes to eventually get her collection into small independent boutiques and gallery spaces. In the meantime, you can keep up to date with QueenieBrowne via Facebook and Twitter

A huge thanks to QueenieBrowne for allowing Kitty as a Picture Illustration and Surface Design Blog to publish these images.
